Dear team members,
We are working across many fronts, and this is a time to make decisions with patience.
We must make the Jagriti Project a success. The finance team, working with Himanshu ji, has built a very bold framework that gives us the chance to move with real agility. Together, we need to launch our PM4 in the next 3 months and bring it to stability quickly. This requires us to make decisions with courage and keep moving forward.
It is essential that we deliver a product to our customers that truly impresses them. Our goal is to bring about a transformation in multi-layer flexible packaging worldwide, and for that we need to develop the right base paper. We will run extensive trials before the machine starts up, and offer our customers a comparable product through pilot trials. The team is fully committed to this effort, and trials will begin very soon. Alongside this, we need to understand the market well and identify which applications our products will succeed in, so that we can work in a focused manner. All of this needs to happen over the next 2 months.
We need to grow our net profit. It is essential that we find ways to climb the ladder of success across every front. A sufficient way to evaluate our business and our work is through growth in profit. We must give our customers the right product, at the right time, with the highest level of service, so that we earn the right to command the right price. Internally, we need to keep working on continuous cost reduction.
We are bringing several changes to our food service business. Our effort is to bring more agility to it through outsourcing. Our team has already taken significant initiative in this direction, and a new structure is gradually taking shape.
Work on innovation continues, and we are making progress on delivery containers and flexible packaging. Work on transforming the Bengaluru lab is underway. It’s important that we choose a location where we can bring the right people together and succeed in forming the right partnerships. Product development work will happen in Ayodhya, but a separate location will need to be chosen for innovation. Work on team formation and location selection is ongoing.
There are many changes happening within the team, and we need to work on providing stability to our team members. We need to fix the gaps in how we operate, so that all of us can move forward on the path of growth and feel a genuine sense of belonging within the organization. Some self-reflection is needed here. We are trying to attract the strongest possible candidates so that we can meet our goals, but we also need to improve ourselves, so that no team member ever feels like leaving Pakka.
We will continue working in this direction.
With best wishes,
Yours,
Ved
